Scots - Scots
Scots is a Germanic language closely related to English, but influenced by Norse and Gaelic. In the 15th and 16th centuries, at the time of the Stewart (later written Stuart) monarchs, Scots was the official and commercial language of Scotland. During the 17th century printing in Scots rapidly gave way to English and Scots came to be regarded by some as an English dialect.

For God sae luved the warld at he gied his ae an ane Son, at ilkane at believes in him mayna perish but hae eternal life.
For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3,16
9. Faither o us aa, bidin abune,
thy name be halie.
10. Let thy reign begin.
Thy will be dune, on the erthe,
as it is in Hevin.
11. Gie us ilka day oor needfu fendin
12. an forgie us aa oor ill-deeds,
e’en as we forgie thae wha dae us ill
13. as lat us no be testit,
but sauf us frae the Ill-Ane.
9 Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
Matthew 6
