Manx - Gaelg

The three Gaelic languages are Irish, Scottish Gaelic and Manx and they are basically fairly similar. In its written form, though, Manx looks very different from the other two. This is because Scottish Gaelic uses almost the same spelling system as Irish, while Manx spelling is based on English, including its notorious irregularities. Compare Irish cáis and Scottish Gaelic càise ("cheese") with Manx caashey, or Irish and Scottish Gaelic loch ("lake") with Manx logh.
