Albanian (Gheg dialect) - shqip (gegnisht)

There are two dialects of Albanian, the Gheg of the north and the Tosk of the south. The boundary between them roughly corresponds to the Shkumbin River which flows from east to west across Albania. Gheg is the spoken language of north Albania and of Kosovo. Standard Albanian, used as the official language of Albania and Kosovo, is based on the southern dialect, Tosk. In the later Roman Empire the Shkumbin River was on the border between the Latin-speaking north and the Greek-speaking south.

Sepse Perëndia e deshi aq botën, sa dha Birin e tij të vetëmlindurin, që, kushdo që beson në të, të mos humbasë, por të ketë jetë të përjetshme.

For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3,16
