Which of these do you say: "Don't worry. I'm sure it will be all right" OR "Don't worry. I know it will be all right. I've prayed, and God is on the case". Millions of people all around the world are worrying every day, about illness, relationships, paying the bills - and conflict between nations. One of the reasons we worry is because we cannot control the future. We can make plans, but we can't be completely sure of any outcome.
The First book of Peter, chapter 5 verse 7, in the New Testament, says "Leave all your worries with Him, because He cares for you". Yes, He does! So, CAST your anxieties on Him. Talk to God DAILY, and think about His great wisdom and compassion. When you pray, you are actually opening a doorway for God to work. He is always working "behind the scenes", always interested in our lives. Don't give up trusting Him with problems large or small. (Countless other Christians are also praying!) As Jesus said, in John chapter 5 verse 17 "My Father is always working, and I too must work".
Psalm 27 verse 1 (Old Testament) says "The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid?". We are in the world. We cannot avoid its hardships, evil, traumas and tragedy, but we must remember that God is with us in the midst of our fears and will always help us. This help will be given in the right way, at the right time, and we must have faith in that.
