As the years go by I find I am praying more and more about the health of my family, my friends and myself, and especially about any new concerns that arise. It's not always easy to "put on a brave face", but with our heavenly Father's help we can certainly try.
The first four books of the New Testament, called the Gospels, are full of accounts of Jesus healing people. That's one of the reasons why He came. I would encourage you to read all the Gospels and marvel at the power and compassion of the Son of God. In Luke chapter 17 verses 11 to 19 Jesus is met by ten men suffering from a dreaded skin disease. He heals them all. Most people who were cured showed immense gratitude to Jesus, praising God and rushing to tell their friends. But on this occasion only one of the men turned back to thank the Lord for his healing! Jesus said, as He did to others, "Your faith has made you well".
We must always remember to thank God in our prayers, for His constant love and for the healings He effects daily through our doctors and specialists. Psalm 116 verses 1-2 says "I love the Lord, because He hears me; He listens to my prayers". Philippians chapter 4 verse 6 says "Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking Him with a thankful heart". You can be sure that the help He gives is always right for you.
